'Network Now Starter' lesson: Magazine 1 (pages 44/45)

Even students at a beginner level can read simple texts, and get a sense of achievement when they do. The 'Magazine' pages in 'Network Now Starter' provide them with the chance to do just that. The simple texts have a glossary to help with more difficult words. Read more to see how you can integrate the 'Magazine' page for Unit 2 into your lessons.

You'll find two Magazine pages after every second Unit of Network Now Starter. The aim of these pages is to offer the learners something different to the standard Unit pages, something which is more fun and informative. The Magazine pages offer your learners their first longer reading texts so that they can take their first steps in developing their reading skills. The texts are easy enough for them to understand and each has a glossary to help with any vocabulary which may be a little more difficult.

Depending on how much time you have, you can encourage the learners to do the Magazine pages alone at home, or you can integrate them into your lessons, after having finished Step 3 of the preceding Unit.
