Most of your students will be learning English so that they can communicate when travelling to an English-speaking country, and so they need practical, everyday English. 'Network Now A1' offers them lots of opportunity to use basic, functional English in the Step 3 of each unit.

We all know how much our learners like to receive recognition for their work, how important it is for them to feel that they are learning successfully and can apply new language in different situations. 'Network Now Starter' has three full pages at the end of each Unit to show them and let them test what they can already do: 'Now I can' and 'Test yourself'.

Even students at a beginner level can read simple texts, and get a sense of achievement when they do. The 'Magazine' pages in 'Network Now Starter' provide them with the chance to do just that. The simple texts have a glossary to help with more difficult words. Read more to see how you can integrate the 'Magazine' page for Unit 2 into your lessons.

This month's theme is 'personalisation'. Making your lessons more relevant for your students means not only more fun but it encourages your learners to speak – everyone likes to talk about themselves! The entries in the dictionary at the back of the 'Network' books include the pronunciation of each word in the phonemic script. Help your students to become familiar with this script with some easy and fun games.
